You were told you need a “Corpcode”
The older name is still commonly used, even though NJ MVC now uses Entity Identification Number.
New Jersey MVC business vehicle requirement

Direct answer
It is a 15-digit identifier issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to businesses for MVC transactions. It was formerly known as a Corporation Code or Corpcode. A business generally needs the appropriate MVC identifier before completing eligible title or registration transactions in the company name.
Important:
A federal EIN and an NJ MVC Entity Identification Number serve different purposes. Having an IRS EIN does not by itself establish the MVC identifier.
When the process does not move forward
You may already have an LLC and a federal EIN, but NJ MVC can still require its own business identifier for an eligible title or registration transaction. That distinction is easy to miss when you are trying to put a vehicle to work.
The older name is still commonly used, even though NJ MVC now uses Entity Identification Number.
The federal EIN does not automatically replace the NJ MVC business identifier.
A legal name, address, or entity detail that is inconsistent may require review before the request moves forward.
Trying to identify the correct form and supporting documents can take attention away from the truck and the business.
